The Ask.
We want a giant LED wall as our stage but we don’t want to kill the budget. I offered to make 11mm LED look like 7mm LED, playback audio from a media server, and sync it to time code.
What I did.
Built custom AFX projects that calculated how to render 11mm LED as if it was 7mm LED. Made all entrances and transitions as alpha wipes to loops to avoid uncomfortable fades to black.
How I did it.
Working with several content companies some in the USA some not I standardized all content delivery on a timeline that facilitated in studio testing, and previz using Hippotizer Media Servers.
What I used to do it.
Grand MA Lighting Desks utilizing custom Hippotizer personalities. Timecode input to Hippotizers with audio output in sync to live musical numbers and executive tranbsitions.
