Riot Games Wild Rift Singapore

The Ask.

Simple playback as long as it does everything. 18k screens playback with audio output for the inaugural Wild Rift competition in Singapore.

What I did.

Previsualized screens in Disguise One. Worked with content team to ideate the show transitions with alpha wipes to reveal each teams look for the competition.

How I did it.

We never stopped working. At the end of the day we re-set cueing for the next days matches. I used Touch OSC as my control surface which once built made re-ordering drag and drop easy. In the morning Content would be on a shared drive from the content team in Cincinnati USA [thanks to a very hi speed internet connection] I’d spend the time pre-show loading content and confirming the show flow. About half way through the production I was asked to play back one audio file for ambiance. That turned into each team having their own audio playback for walk ons and wins. So not so simple playback.

What I used to do it.

I used Disguise One’s timelines on mutitrack playback in layer orders so that when I transitioned from one look to another I always wiped over the current look with the next look it was a lot to build. Once built its was as simple as taking Cues from the Director in the truck. Triggering was done with Touch OSC.
